The speculation and waiting game is over. It appears WSU has their next starting quarterback, Cameron Ward. Ward has four years to play three for the Cougs. Given the success he enjoyed at Incarnate Word, expect good things from him on the Palouse. Jeff Nusser put together a nice piece on the newest Coug:

While Cougar Nation awaits word on whether or not Cameron Ward will transfer to Pullman, long-time Wazzu backup quarterback Cammon Cooper has announced where he will be playing his final two years of football. Cooper has committed to Hawai'i.
“The situation to come in and compete, and go somewhere where they wanted me, was huge,” Cooper told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. Sounds as if he might have felt underappreciated by the WSU coaching staff. If nothing else, he did earn a degree from Wazzu.
Cooper was a highly touted high school player who had offers from Arizona State, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee among the 22 offers to choose from.
Had Coach Mike Leach remained in Pullman, it's likely that Cooper would have been the starter last season rather than Jayden de Laura. The lefty has a good arm and throws a very accurate ball. Oh well. Leach isn't in Pullman. Neither is de Laura. Add Cooper to that list.
