When the most exciting and widely covered WSU athletics story is the postponement of the men's hoops game with Oregon, you know it's a slow day in Wazzu World. With that in mind, here's a link to a nice recap by Colton Clark, S/R, of how former Cougar football players fared this season in the NFL:

Barry Bolton managed to make something out of nothing in covering the power structure changes in top WSU administration. Traditionally, the Wazzu athletic director has reported directly to the university president. That will be changing this summer. Pat Chun will soon be reporting to newly appointed chancellor Elizabeth Chilton. Chilton's appointment goes into effect July 1. This is part of a scheme designed to create a laser-like focus for WSU president Kirk Schultz on growing the six campuses. Management structure changes are part of the evolution of most organizations. In the end, it's not so much the change in structure as it is personnel that makes such changes look either good or bad. Schultz and Chun seem to have enjoyed a terrific working relationship. Will that be the same story with Chilton? Time will tell. If you want a more in-depth analysis of this change, here's the link to Bolton's story:
